Save Our Birds
2010-05-12 I would like to take in donations for www.saveourseabirds.org to help them assist the wildlife who are affected by the oil spilling into the Gulf of Mexico. People could feel free to drop off the items listed below at my house @ 11217 Cypress Reserve Drive in Sheffield and I will then transport these items to Sarasota where the headquarters is located. The items needed are:
.Dawn Dish detergent
.Bleach
.Scotch scrubbies
.Cleaners: MR. CLEAN, 409, LYSOL, CLOROX WIPES, etc
.paper towels, rolls or the box of napkins you might have laying around.
.laundry detergent
.rubber gloves, heavier the better, we are dealing with toxic stuff here but any type will do
.regular work gloves....remember they have to deal with wild birds with sharp beaks
.towels and rags
.Linens....sheets, even ones with holes...the birds don't care
.Tarps...even old ones you might have laying around
.Heating pads.....the birds without its protective feather coating will need it to survive.
.Pliers
.landscaping tools, rakes, pruning shears, wire cutters
.hand sanitizers
.tie wraps, bungie cords and zip ties
.flashlights....to find the poor little birds
.electrical extension cords
.plastic clipboards....this massive effort requires a lot of organization
.plastic dog/cat kennels, any size.
.ice chests
.legal pads
.pens
.folding chairs....if you are done tail gating, someone can sit on the beach and clean up a bird
Your donations are truly appreciated - Linda Sousa (resident)
